Location: your own brands and sites. A bakery with four branches, a restaurateur with three concepts, a small hotel chain. All accounts belong to you. There are no external clients and no one outside your organization who needs to approve anything. What you need is a consistent brand line and local relevance for each site.
Studio: franchise, partner, and distribution networks. Head office holds the brand line, and publishing happens through the channels of legally independent partners: franchisees, distribution partners, association members. Here, two sides that aren't the same company work together. That's why the partner can approve posts themselves before publication, and the presence can be run under their own name.
Agency: external clients, managed by a team. Multiple team members work together across many client accounts. This requires clear rules on who can do what for which client, client approval before anything goes live, and the agency's own brand showing externally.
All three share the same underlying problem: content is created in one place and has to appear in many, without looking like a form letter. The difference isn't in the technology, but in who owns the accounts and who decides on publication.
