ViralSpoon has two operating modes for distributed organizations: ViralSpoon Connect & agency mode. With ViralSpoon Connect (pull), the partner pulls content, while in agency mode (push) headquarters distributes content.

With ViralSpoon Connect , the respective social media account belongs to the partner. The partner retains control over their account and decides for themselves which of the content provided by ViralSpoon to publish. This model is particularly suited to independent sales partners, members, or specialist retailers. The brand, or headquarters, primarily controls the range and quality of the content provided, while the decision on actual publication rests with the partner.

In ViralSpoon agency mode, on the other hand, access to the social media account lies with headquarters or a commissioned agency. Headquarters decides which content is published and when, taking direct control of communication. This model suits, for example, agency clients, franchise systems with central guidelines, or a company's own branches. Unlike the pull model, the brand here controls not just the content offering but the specific content and timing of every individual publication.
